In honor of my friend Jen's birthday yesterday (and the fact that she's normally only somewhat able to read my teriffic rants in Norwegian) I shall write part of my blog in English today. I've been invited to her house this evening to drink beers and jump on the trampoline in their garden. Despite having socialized so much that I'm actually sick of people (except over the internet, where I can choose when to reply to their approaches and thus find it acceptable), I look forward to this party. (Yes, I'm introvert, and at times I just suck at interacting with people without getting grumpy - it's got nothing to do with the people, mind, it's just the way things are. My dad is somewhat the same.) A shame that Vero is still out of town. I think I received a text message from her that woke me up around ten this morning, but seeing as I went to sleep in the ungodly hours (around five in the morning), I promptly ignored it and went back to sleep. Poor Vero. I shall have to send her a consolidation message somewhere along the lines of "I was asleep, sorry to hear you're gonna be gone until Monday and everything." There. Done.
Yesterday I spent helping my sister move. That is, I didn't really do anything, I just went along for the ride. My mom brought her car and was going to take an old table back with her that's been in the family for decades. My sister wants to throw all her furniture away because she's moving to Kent (yes, that's in England) this autumn, to attend Rose Bruford College. So I got a nice bookshelf, and some thingimibobs that she wasn't too keen on bringing and wanted to give away: A packet of tea that smelled like henna in a pretty bag (which I threw away and kept the bag), a jingly fake-jewelry belly dancer belt (goes great with certain larping costumes), and a feather duster that looks really sexy and actually works. Hurrah! Then we went for pizza and had some ice cream, my mom bought my sister a jacket, and she had to ride in the trunk whenever we drove somewhere because my mom had taken the back seats out of the car to be able to load furniture in there, and I rode shotgun the whole time.
Language alert: Switching to Norwegian.
